My Story
Long before Riley Grooms & Pet Services became a business, there was just a 14-year-old girl who loved animals.
One day, my aunt surprised me with five newborn puppies and their mother. I was still in high school, had no job, and suddenly had six little lives depending on me. When I realized how expensive it would be to have them all professionally groomed, I decided to try something different:
I taught myself.
I started grooming my own dogs outside my home, learning with every bath, every haircut, every mistake, and every little improvement. Then something unexpected happened. Neighbors passing by began stopping to ask if I could groom their dogs too.
What started out of necessity slowly became something I truly loved.
I discovered that grooming wasn’t just about making a pet look good. It was about helping them feel lighter, cleaner, more comfortable, and cared for—and giving their parents the peace of knowing their babies were in good hands.
Years later, that same love is still at the heart of everything I do.
Since 2012, I’ve had the privilege of turning something I taught myself as a teenager into a career I’m incredibly proud of. Today, I’m a certified, experienced pet groomer serving Jacksonville and surrounding areas—and I truly believe every pet that comes through my door is another little piece of the journey that started all those years ago.
From six dogs in my backyard to caring for pets throughout my community… this has always been more than grooming. This is my passion. ❤️🐾
